With the recent catastrophic earthquakes in Haiti and Chile, South America, a wakeup call has been issued to the inhabitants of this planet. I say this because when Jesus’s disciples asked him what would be the signs of the last days, he emphatically stated that one of those signs would be “earthquakes in divers (many different) places.”

This truth is borne out by the fact that the earth is constantly shifting and changing in its topographic composition, even to the point that we have recently had earthquakes so powerful that they have caused powerful tsunamis (earthquake-driven tidal waves). Think of Bandeh Aceh, Indonesia in 2004, a quake which was so powerful, it affected the earth’s rotation, and the tsunamis which are predicted and are occurring even as I write this blog, as a result of the Chilean earthquake.
